The Poets’ Retreat

Terms & Conditions in brief.

Payment

A 25% deposit of the total payable is required at the time of booking.

The deposit is fully refundable* up until twelve weeks before the start date of the booking. The deposit becomes non-refundable at the point of there being twelve weeks or less before the beginning of the booking.

The outstanding balance is payable four weeks prior to arrival. If there are less than 28 days between the booking being made and arrival date, then the total amount is payable immediately.

Payment includes tourist tax.

Payment can be made by bank transfer. Paypal is also possible but a 5% surcharge to your booking total will be added to cover admin fees and any exchange rate fees. We also accept transfers via Wise (formerly Transferwise) with any fees involved to be paid by you. 

*Refunds are made with any fees that would be incurred by ourselves (for the platform's admin, fees, exchange rate etc.,) deducted from the total of the refund. 

Cleaning / Linen and Towels

The total price includes a fee for the final deep clean of the apartment and cost of bedding and towels, including a once weekly linen and towel change. At an additional cost, a light clean of the apartment can be carried out on a once-a-week basis. 

Security Deposit

A security deposit of €500 is required prior to check in and will be held during the time of your stay. After vacating the premises and upon inspection taking place, as long as there is no damage, breakages or losses to the property, then the security deposit will be refunded within 14 days from check out.

Check in / Check out 

Unless otherwise agreed, the check in time is from 16.00 on the day of arrival and check out is no later than 11.00 on the day of departure. 

No Smoking Policy

No smoking is allowed in any part of the apartment including balconies and terrace. Please note the entire palazzo including all communal areas is designated non-smoking.

Diligence, notice of defects, compensation. 

The entire premises, including furniture in the rooms, communal areas and other objects, are to be treated with care. Guests are to ensure commensurate diligence on the part of persons accompanying and/or visiting them. Guests are responsible for culpable damage caused by themselves or accompanying persons to the rental property, furniture or other objects in the rental property. 

All guests staying at The Poets’ Retreat are responsible for any damage, breakages or losses that have occurred during their booking period, and the booking deposit paid by the guests will be used to replace, repair or restore any item or redecorate or restore any area as deemed necessary by the owners.
